کلیدهای اتوماتیک هوایی دارایمزایای زیر می باشند:
- کلید خودکار پس از قطع مدار در اثر جریان زیاد ویا هر عامل دیگری بلافاصله دوباره آماده بهره برداری می باشد.
- ساختمان این کلیدها بگونه ای است که اگر کلید رابر روی یک مدار اتصال کوتاه شده ببندیم، در ضمن عمل بسته شدن، رله اضافه جریانکلید به سرعت وارد عمل شده و مدار را قطع می کند.
- با کمک کنتاکت های فرعی که در کلید هوایی اشنایدرتعبیه شده (چهار عدد کنتاکت موقعیت – یک عدد کنتاکت خطا) می توان وضعیت کلید را درهر حالت قطع، وصل یا وقوع خطا تعیین و در اتاق فرمان منعکس کرد.
